THE DOCTOR
Welcome, Doctor! You have been chosen for the role of a HEALER - a protective role. You will be tasked with protecting one set of masks during the week. Your protection allows for them to live to see another day. Anyone who attempts to kill a person wearing the chosen mask will be thwarted.
A list of rules are as follow:
2. The Doctor can choose their own mask, however they will not be eligible for protection.
3. The Doctor will not find out if someone was protected that night until trial.
4. For their participation, The Doctor will receive one personalized incentive at end of game.
New top levels will be created in this post for each week the Doctor is alive. The White Rabbit will meet with the Doctor on Monday Evenings at 6PM. Please have your selection by Monday night. We hope you have fun with your role!
+ MURDER PROPOSALS + IC RULEBOOK + HOUSING
week 1
He seems to be smoking a small pipe with bright pink puffs fuming from its opening. ]
Are you comfortable? Now is not the time for discomfort. You have a job. If you wish to move on, yes move on far, from this all. It's n-n-not like you have a choice. Not now. Never here.
W-W-W-What shall I call you?
no subject
He glances around, brows furrowed, only to be met with the sight of the White Rabbit sitting upon an oversized mushroom. Pink puffs of smoke snake his way, and he waves them aside.]
I'm quite used to discomfort, my furry friend.
[He's going to stand, unwilling to have this conversation while sitting in the grass.]
We never did exchange introductions, did we? How rude of me. [A hand splayed against his chest.] Ardyn Izunia, at your service. I assume there's a reason I'm here?
no subject
That's not what y-y-your wonderful profile card says... Is it like what they call me? "Peter Cottontail"? Is that your fabricated name?
[ :D ]
Y-Yes!! A reason of utter importance! You have been selected to be one of our Guests of Honor!
no subject
Would you prefer to know me as Ardyn Lucis Caelum? That name rots on my tongue, and settles unwell in my mind. It makes me very unhappy.
[ 8) ]
Just call me Ardyn, if you must. [That sounds awfully like a command, even if he's not the one in charge here.] But to be a Guest of Honor... I'm flattered. One of four, am I correct?
no subject
[ He sighs a bit. ]
The Queen's decree has blessed you but also weighed much responsibility on your shoulders. Her entertainment rests on you lot. Very much so.
no subject
So we are to provide entertainment for her? In what way?
[He gestures as he speaks, as is a habit of his.]
And might I know who the other honored guests are?
no subject
[ He shakes his head. ]
No. Surprises should remain such. You, you will know only what I have been allowed to speak.
[ He waves his hand, inside of it an oversized playing card. The front looks like Ardyn — however, he'll notice the mask in his drawing's hand was much more of a plague doctor mask. A pile of potions familiar to him rest as his feet.
If he flips the card over, he'll see it read THE DOCTOR - with all of the rules outlined. ]
no subject
He takes the card, wordlessly. He freezes when he sees the picture on the front, however, his own person adorned with plague doctor's mask. The potions at his feet all too familiar, the ones used for the sake of healing on Eos, utilizing the Lucis Caelum magic to do so.
He then flips it over, and reads the rules.]
Ha.
[His eyes are lifted to the White Rabbit, and they're awfully cold.]
Do you find this funny? That I should be the one delegated to be the healer?
[are you trying to trigger the shit out of him]
no subject
[ His eyes alone cause panic, the pipe long abandoned and his form clutched into a defensive position. ]
You are tasked to spice up the unbirthday — l-l-like a jalapeno glaze on a donut! You have the chance to prolong their unbirthdays — help them to the final hours of our celebration.
B-B-But not without reward of your own!! Your unbirthday wish and then some!
no subject
To save them you mean. From "slaughter". From a death very unbecoming. Not any different than what I was once tasked to do, thousands of years ago.
And do know how well that ended for me?
[A bitter laugh. A bit like the one he had indulged himself in when he cut his hand the day prior.]
What sort of reward? It has to be of the highest caliber for me to even consider this.
no subject
[ He doesn't address Ardyn's words prior. Instead, he stumbles off the mushroom, scurrying over to an Aloe plant. As it smiles back at him with an eerie face, he hears a sudden scream as the rabbit rips off one of the leaves, dripping in aloe sap. The muffled sobs of the plant are lost as he ushers Ardyn to kneel down a bit — waving at his hand. ]
Y-Yours was once filthy, was it not? I know n-n-n-n-nothing of your history besides what the cards tell me. Your name, your cleansing — your reaction at the f-funeral was all too telling!!
[ If Ardyn allows him, the aloe would remain soothing on his flesh. If he allows it, the wound will heal over the next week at an accelerated rate. ]
I-If you do not comply, you will be filthy once more. Your unbirthday wish — you can have t-that and undirty the blood that runs through your veins! If you do not oblige, you will return sickly and infected with a cur-cuuuurse you only know!!
The Queen ensures all go along with their celebrations... one way or another.

Again, he barely notices. He's thinking of what is being offered to him -- his wish of revenge fulfilled, his own body cleansed thereafter. Could he have both? Could he enjoy, so briefly, the weightlessness of not carrying the Starscourge around for a fleeting moment, before delegating himself to his own death permanently?
Revenge and rest did not have to be connected to each other any longer, with a promise like that. How interesting. How... defiantly tearing away from the destiny he has been so keen on adhering to.]
To purify me would be a task... very large indeed. If you can manage it...
[Well. Why not. An even bigger middle finger to the gods, why would he say no to it?]
Then I'll agree. To choose a set of masks, correct? Playing the part of healer once more, I thought I'd die before I saw the day again.
no subject
[ He flinches like an abused animal, looking nervously around as if someone was watching. ]
Yes, you choose a mask and it will prevent slaughter. Their candles will remain b-b-burning! Yo-you are at risk, though. Such a role presents problems to o-others.
no subject
Ardyn sets his jaw. He considers this.]
At risk? Protection goes against what others might wish for, hm?
[It's more rhetorical than anything. A small amount of insight concerning what the other honored guests might desire.
He flexes his hand, still slick with aloe.] I don't fear harm, nor death. And I choose my own mask regardless.
no subject
[ The rabbit scrambles backwards, clutching both paws in a prayer. Head bows and he nods, over and over. ]
The crows, then. C-Crows yes, you will protect the two. They will be safe. Y-You may not. Quickly, I'll quickly go tell! Must not b-be late!!
[ If you're quick enough to catch him, he'll answer any further questions, but he's of to try and return to - ????? Ardyn will find himself drowsy until he falls back asleep on the grass. If he awakens, he will be back in his newly found bed in the Abode. ]
