graveyard
The world you see around you is not home, unfortunately. It is Wonderland. Every inch of the whimsical design of the Hare's Abode is free for you— but something is odd. Dead visitors are stuck in the 'mirrorverse' of Wonderland. Living visitors are unapproachable — they are just wispy ghost versions of themselves. Characters are healed to full health upon "waking up" in this mirrorverse of Wonderland.
You may have conversations with the White Rabbit, as he is able to speak with the dead by using his pocket watch. Please carry on and enjoy the rest of your stay!
Hello! I wasn't originally going to do a graveyard for the game since it is short, but the dead cast had done such a great job continuing on in private convos, I want to reward you. I will be giving you a hands off plot that will allow you and fellow deadees to come to a goal over the next week (or so) of the game.

after his execution
[ that's his dumbfounded reaction upon waking up. his hands immediately go to his neck, touching the skin, then to his head, feeling it whole. it's still attached? he's not decapitated?
...hahah...
and then just laughs again, because god. it's just like before. how fucking awful is this, this is no different than the first time he was killed. ran over by an ambulance and waking up perfectly intact on a street that didn't exist in his hometown. he could cry, how terribly familiar this is.
and he's just going to keep laughing until someone approaches him...]

[but nevertheless. . .]
[he stands a few feet away with his hands in his pockets, just. watching Kira laugh, waiting for a chance to interject. he had volunteered to fill Kira in, after all, and he'll keep his word. at least then? no one else would have to deal with this man]

A THING
Rabbit is standing by, clanking a spoon against his teacup. He takes a harsh few swings before tossing the cup to the side, shattering it. Every living person around you is frozen — the Rabbit responsible obviously, what with his pocket watch hanging at his hip. ]
Let's get down to business.
[ He say unpocketing vials of blue liquid. ]
T-T-The way to succumb to m-madness is simple: to give into your desires. To give into the anger or sadness, to let yourself lose. Only then will you be able to o-overcome it. To feed the madness elsewhere — to our world. The Queen knows nothing of this, how Alice once too wielded my watch to find a way out. She is forever still looking, thinking the Mad Hatter is responsible...
[ He narrows his gaze. ]
It is partial truth. The others — by feeding into the madness of t-the unbirthdays, she allows them safety out when she is bored, fed with roses painted red. However, you by nature can not satisfy her. Her lies of participation — sending everyone home upon completion... false. F-false!
But — but I can reverse this time — time to when the rabbit hole first appeared and your bodies all but new to Wonderland. For you all and any others, you must submit to the madness before "seeing" the rabbit hole.
Alice did... and that — that is how she escaped.
S-so, yes! Two rabbit holes! One for living, one for dead! Take these vials, they will bring your mind to unrest, to unease — unhook your senses a-and dive you into madness. The others... their wills can join you, to snap you out of it and heal your sullen mind.

Why would you risk yourselves for us, with this plan?

[it's a bit different than what he had assumed. a bit more difficult than he had originally anticipated, but nevertheless? he reaches out to take a vial, his hand pausing only momentarily mid air]
White Rabbit-- [not Cottaintail-san, but that's because this subject matter is a bit. . . serious]
You said before the celebration of our unbirthdays was needed to combat "madness." Can you tell me a little bit more about how that works?

If that is the trial we must undergo to escape this place... any trial is worth undertaking if it means returning to life. [ and, also, spitefully murdering that bastard. ] What can we expect in the madness?

OPENING THE RABBIT HOLE
[you're standing in the midst of a city, buildings towering tall above your head. it's Tokyo, for those who might recognize same, but something is. . . different. perhaps it's the orange sky that hangs above, dark and ominous compared to its normal blue. perhaps it's the series of large, dinosaur-sized skeletal backbones that jut out from the ground and extend across the skyline like bridges. perhaps it's the drops of blood-red rain that drizzle from yellow clouds and drip onto your cheeks and noses]
[it's. . . well. it's weird, to say the least! furthermore? Akira isn't anywhere to be found]
[but there's a path leading forward, a bridge leading up created by fused together bones. the only way for you to go now is forward!]
no subject
What will this experience be like? he wonders.
There is no fear, yet. Nothing but idle curiosity as he wonders, glancing at the rain that drips onto him, dying his clothes violet. He continues forward onto the bridge.]
